Zusammenfassung 131 von insgesamt 337 Patienten wurde als Palliativmaßnahme bei malignen Stenosen im Oesophagus-Kardia-Bereich eine Endoprothese eingelegt. Das Vorgehen bei den im Durchschnitt 65,5 Jahre alten Patienten wird geschildert. Der durchschnittliche stationäre Aufenthalt liegt bei 22 Tagen. Die Operationsfolgeletalität beträgt 22,9%. Die operationsspezifischen Komplikationen sind Dislokation der Prothese, Oesophagusperforation, Blutung und Verschluß. 74,4% der Patienten verspürten subjektiv einen Erfolg der Operation.

Summary An endoprosthesis was used in the palliative treatment of 131 patients with malignant stenoses of the oesophagus-cardia region. The procedure used is described for these patients who were an average of 65.5 years of age. The average inpatient time is 22 days; postoperative lethality is 22.9%. The complications specific for the operation method are dislocation of the prosthesis, perforation of the oesophagus, bleeding and occlusion. Of these patients, 74.4% felt the operation had been successful.
