    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Der CO2-Laser wird zur Anwendung bei rekonstruktiven Operationen vorgestellt. An cornua uteri und Harnblasen von Kaninchen wurden Exzisionen vorgenommen. Die freien Wundränder wurden adaptiert und laserkoaguliert. Nach diesen Eingriffen blieben 70% (Uterus) bzw. 90% (Harnblase) der Organe voll funktionsfähig.
    Notes: Summary CO2-Laser is presented for application in reconstructive operations. At cornua uteri and urine bladders of rabbits excisions were undertaken. The free wound edges were approximated and coagulated by laser irradiation. After these operations 70% (uterus) respectively 90% (urine bladder) of the organs remained fully functionable.

    Description / Table of Contents: The average bond lengths and bond angles of the structural units of polycyanurates synthesized by polycyclotrimerization of 2,2-bis(4-cyanatophenyl)propane were measured by single crystal X-ray analysis of model compounds. An off-lattice Monte Carlo model was developed for the simulation of the geometrical structure of cyanurate oligomers with polymerization degrees up to 31. Excluded volume effects were taken into account in the form of hard spheres. The calculated results show that an occurrence of intramolecular cyclizations, which was supposed in the literature, is possible.
    Notes: Die Größen der Bindungsabstände und -winkel der in Polycyanuraten auf Basis von 2,2-Bis(4-cyanatophenyl)propan auftretenden Strukturelemente wurden durch Röntgenkristallstrukturanalyse von Modellsubstanzen ermittelt. Darauf aufbauend wurde ein Monte-Carlo off-lattice Modell zur Simulation der geometrischen Struktur auftretender Oligomere bis zu einem Polymerisationsgrad 31 entwickelt, in dem Effekte des ausgeschlossenen Volumens in Form von hard-sphere Potentialen berücksichtigt sind. Die Ergebnisse belegen unter anderem die aus experimentellen Daten resultierende Vermutung des Auftretens intramolekularer Cyclisierungen.

    Description / Table of Contents: Ein kurzer Überblick über gebräuchliche Bestimmungsmethoden der Hydrophilie von Polymeren wird gegeben, und die Korrelation dieser charakteritistichen Stoffgröße mit Strukturparametern fester und gelöster Polymere wird diskutiert. Zur Quantifizierung der Hydrophilie löslicher Polymere wird ein neuer durch Trübungstitration ermittelter Parameter vorgeschlagen.
    Notes: In connection with a brief review of usual methods of determining hydrophilicity of polymers, correlations between hydrophilicity and structural parameters of solid polymers as well as dissolved macromolecules are discussed. To quantify the hydrophilicity of dissolved polymers, a new parameter obtained by turbidimetric measurements is submitted.

    Description / Table of Contents: Aromatische poly(oxadiazol)e sind heterocyclische Polymere, die sich durch hohe thermische und chemische Beständigkeit auszeichnen. Sie weisen auch interessante elektrische und elektro-optische Eigenschaften auf. In dieser Arbeit wird ein kurzer Überblick über neue Forschungsergebnisse zu aromatischen Poly(oxadiazol)en gegeben, die in verschiedenen aus dem ehemaligen Institut für Polymerenchemie hervorgegangenen Forschungsgruppen erarbeitet wurden. Es werden neue technologische Aspekte der Poly(oxadiazol)-Synthese in Oleum und eine neue Synthesevariante beschrieben. Detailliert wird die Struktur von Poly(p-phenylen-1,3,4-oxadiazol) in Lösung und im Festkörper diskutiert. Weiterhin werden die Ergebnisse elektrochemischer und dynamisch-mechanischer Untersuchungen vorgestellt.
    Notes: Aromatic poly(oxadiazole)s are a class of heterocyclic polymers that show excellent thermal and chemical stability. Also, their electrical and optoelectrical properties are of interest. Here, a short review is given about recent results in the field of aromatic poly(oxadiazole)s elaborated in our research groups that emerged from the former Institute of Polymer Chemistry in Teltow-Seehof. New aspects are described regarding the technology of poly(oxadiazole) synthesis via the oleum route. In detail the structures of poly(p-phenylene-1,3,4-oxadiazole) in solution as well as in solid state are described. Moreover, the electrochemical behaviour and the dynamic-mechanical properties are discussed.

    Description / Table of Contents: N-hydroxymethyl-chloroacetamide, which is biocide effective, was converted to N-(acyloxymethyl)-chloroacetamides by esterification. Copolymers containing the biocide moiety as a pendant group can be obtained by radical copolymerization of methyl N-(chloroacetamido-methyl)fumarate with vinyl acetate as well as of N-(chloroacetamidomethyl)-acrylamide and the corresponding methacrylamide with styrene, methyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate and acrylic acid. The copolymerization parameters were determined.
    Notes: Das biozid wirksame N-Hydroxymethyl-chloracetamid wurde durch Veresterung in N-(Acyloxymethyl)-chloracetamid überführt. Durch radikalische Copolymerisation von Fumarsäure-methylester-chloracetamidomethyl-ester mit Vinylacetat sowie von N-(Chloracetamidomethyl)-acryl- und methacrylamid mit Styren, Acrylsäuremethylester, Methacrylsäuremethylester und Acrylsäure lassen sich Copolymere mit bioziden Wirkstoffseitengruppen erhalten. Die Copolymerisationsparameter wurden ermittelt.
