Description / Table of Contents: At the technological performance of the microsuspension polymerization of vinyl chloride a constant velocity of polymerization over the whole course of reaction is desired. This will be achieved by the use of a redox system consisting of dilauroylperoxide, dicetylperoxidicarbonate, copper sulfate, and ascorbic acid.

Description / Table of Contents: At the microsuspension polymerization of vinyl chloride by use of the redox system of dilauroylperoxide, dicetylperoxidicarbonate, copper sulfate, and ascorbic acid, the influence of Cu2+ ions on the residual peroxide content in the polymer and on some properties of the formed polymers is studied. The mechanism of initiation is discussed.
