Abstract We perform all secondary corrections after septorhinoplasty as early as possible. Ten or twelve days after the primary intervention, the edema has diminished to such an extent that any residual defect is clearly detectable and easy to correct. This essentially is the concept of early secondary corrections after septorhinoplasty. We are convinced that any type of secondary correction can be performed at an early time. Our experience shows with an early secondary correction, patient and surgeon alike avoid the stress of a long waiting period as well as patient dissatisfaction during this waiting time.
