Notes: Abstract In former investigations on hydrogen spillover through the gas phase the glass surface seemed to be important. Two methods were used here to test this: (a) filling the reaction zone with glass powder; (b) same with silanized glass. High conversion with normal and negligible ones with silanized glass provide clear proof for the above assumption.
