Notes: The synthesis and characterization of Co,Al Layered Double Hydroxides (LDHs)containing carbonate is reported. The solids have been submitted to several thermal treatments, hydrothermal and microwave-hydrothermal, modifying both the treatment time and temperature, with the main aim of studying their influence on the crystallinity of the solids and on thestabilization of divalent cobalt oxidation state. The results show that whichever the temperature andtime used the only phase detected was the hydrotalcite, and that the cobalt cations keep the divalentoxidation state

Description / Table of Contents: Abstract
Notes: Abstract Hydrogenolysis of C2 to C4 hydrocarbons has been studied on Rh/TiO2 (2.5wt. % Rh) reduced in H2 at 773 K. Activity for this reaction is observed above 480 K, leading to lower hydrocarbons as the reaction temperature is increased.

Description / Table of Contents: Abstract
Notes: Abstract The activity of vanadia/titania catalysts in CO oxidation has been tested and found to be of the same order as that observed for unsupported vanadia; the simultaneous presence of vanadium-sodium compounds cancels the activity, probably because of the elimination of labile V=0 species at surface defects.

Description / Table of Contents: Abstract
Notes: Abstract Adsorption of acrolein on vanadia/titania catalysts fits a polymerization kinetics if Na−V compounds are not present or the vanadium content is lower than that corresponding to formation of a monolayer of vanadia on the titania support.

Description / Table of Contents: Abstract
Notes: Abstract Hydrogenolysis of C2 to C4 hydrocarbons on Rh/TiO2 (2.5 wt. % Rh) has been studied on catalysts oxidized and rereduced. After reduction and oxidation at 773 K, reduction at lower temperatures increases the activity, but this decreases as the re-reduction temperature increases. The reaction parameters (activation energy and frequency factor) have been determined.
