Supernatanten aus Kulturen überempfindlicher Lymphozyten und dem spezifischen Antigen mit MIF-Aktivität können die Entstehung der Pseudopodien normaler Makrophagen verhindern und zeigen nach längerem Kultivieren zuweilen toxische Eigenschaften.
