Summary

Chronic catheterization of aorta and inferior vena cava in dogs did not significantly affect circulating levels of prostaglandins (PGE2 and PGF2a ). Pentobarbital (30 mg/kg i.v.) anaesthesia produced a significant decrease in PGF2a .
