Summary
A single pre- or postirradiation application of β-(1→3)-D-glucan, a potent reticuloendothelial stimulant, enhances hemopoietic recovery in sublethally gamma-irradiated mice. Pretreatment of mice with glucan significantly reduces lethal radiation effects.
