Abstract
Absorption spectra of thed-d transition in the LiCl: Ni2+ crystals were measured. It was deduced therefrom that the absorption bands belong to the octahedrally coordinated divalent nickel like in the other alkali chloride crystals of NaCl type. The observed structure connected with3A2g →3T /a1g ,1 E g transitions has been discussed.
