Debond dynamics of an elastic strip, II: Simple transient motion

Abstract

The paper considers debond of an elastic strip from a substrate which is rigid during the event. Based on general results derived in Part I transient motions are described by superposition of stationary and propagating fields. Emphasis is on central action; external loads and contact forces working along the axis of the strip. Eccentric action is exemplified in a case of initial motion of the Timoshenko-beam.
