Accurate measurement of changes in electron scattering in the de Haas-van Alphen effect

Abstract

A new method for the accurate determination of smallchanges in the Dingle temperature measured in the de Haas-van Alphen effect is described. The method is illustrated with some measurements in copper and potassium, in which changes in the Dingle temperature of only a few millikelvin could be resolved.
