Summary
The factor XIII-activity in the plasma of 31 patients suffering from acute leukaemia was investigated. The mean factor XIII-activity was decreased before cytostatic therapy to 29%, during the chemotherapeutic regimen 44% and reached 68% during the initial phase of remission, whether partial or complete, compared to normal values of 80–120%. The pathogenesis and significance of these findings is discussed.
Zusammenfassung
Die Blutgerinnungsfaktor XIII-Aktivität im Plasma von Patienten mit verschiedenen Formen der akuten Leukämie wurde untersucht. Hierbei zeigte sich in 12 Fällen vor Therapiebeginn eine Erniedrigung auf durchschnittlich 29% der Norm. Bei 30 Patienten, die während der Behandlungszeit mehrfach untersucht wurden, war die Faktor-XIII-Aktivität im Durchschnitt auf 44% der Norm erniedrigt. Nach Beginn der Remission kam es bei 16 Patienten, die wir untersuchen konnten, zu einem Wiederanstieg der Faktor XIII-Aktivität, die in der Regel subnormale, normale oder hochnormale Werte erreichte. Die Ätiologie und Pathogenese sowie die klinische Bedeutung dieser Befunde werden diskutiert.
