III. Degradation by thermophilic bacilli

Summary

Degradation of tetradecane by two thermophilic Bacillus strains was investigated. It was found that these strains do not grow on this hydrocarbon as sole carbon source but degrade tetradecane in cooxidation cultures partly via monoterminal pathway.
