271. Die Technik der Hüftgelenktransplantation nach Thomas

Summary

Jaros and Stryhal were the first to transplant femur heads according to the suggestion of Krompecher and Pap. The excellent results obtained by Jaros, Wagner and Matzen (150 cases of partial hip-joint transplantation) encouraged the author to develop a completely new technique for the transplantation of both the femur head and the acetabulum. The instruments were specially designed to allow accurate preparation of the transplant so that no empty space would be left between the transplant and the host tissue.

Jaros u. Stryhal sind die Ersten gewesen, die nach den Erkenntnissen von Krompecher u. Pap Transplantationen des Schenkelkopfes vornahmen. Die guten Resultate, die Jaros, Wagner u. Matzen mitteilen (150 Fälle von Hüftteilgelenktransplantationen) regten den Autor an, eine neue Technik der Hüftgelenktransplantation zu entwickeln, mit der Kopf und Pfanne paßgenau zu 5 mm dicken Schalen bearbeitet and so transplantiert warden können. Das Verfahren wurde im Film gezeigt und die Röntgenergebnisse der ersten sechs auf these Weise operierten Patienten dargestellt.
