Summary

Besides immunological problems the anatomical and functional integrity of the transplanted kidney has a decisive influence on the outcome of kidney grafting. Using the data obtained from 110 kidneys explanted in Münster, we outline the essential regimen of donor procurement in an intensive care unit. A sophisticated technique in terms of extracorporeal transaortic en bloc graft perfusion is offered.

Zusammenfassung

Neben immunologischen Faktoren nimmt die Organqualität bei der Nierenspende eine Schlüsselposition für den Transplantationserfolg ein. Anhand von 110 Organentnahmen werden die wesentlichen organisatorischen und intensivmedizinischen Maßnahmen sowie die in Münster weiterentwickelte extracorporale transaortale Nierenperfusion dargestellt.
