New indication in spinal surgery: Treatment of spinal claudication resulting from a central spinal stenosis, by operative decompression of the spinal canal.

Die Erhöhung des intrakraniellen Drucks bedeutet akute Lebensgefahr. Durch Einführung der direkten Messung des intrakraniellen Drucks werden bedrohliche Druckentgleisungen früher erkannt. Mikrochirurgische Operationsmethoden und Anwendung maßgeschneiderter Clips unter gleichzeitiger kontrollierter Hypotonie machen chirurgische Behandlung von Gefäßmißbildungen risikoärmer. Bei Operation hormonell inaktiver und aktiver Hypophysenadenome senkt transnasaler Zugang Letalitätsrate wesentlich und verbessert funktionelle Ergebnisse. Neue Indiktion in der spinalen Chirurgie: Behandlung der spinalen Claudicatio infolge zentraler Stenose des Spinalkanals durch operative Dekompression der Cauda equina.
