Autoradiographic studies on the influence of sensitized lymphocytes on the growth of Ehrlich-ascites-tumor in cell culture

Summary

Lymphocytes of mice sensitized against Ehrlich-Ascites-Tumor (EAT) inhibit the growth of EAT-cell cultures. This effect was demonstrated by the lower mitosis rate of the tumor cells and by the decrease of DNA metabolism in autoradiographic studies with H3-thymidin. After intraperitoneal transplantation of the tumor cells cultured with sensitized lymphocytes the ascites developed in the same manner as in animals injected with EAT cell cultures without added lymphocytes.
