Conclusions

A method has been developed for the synthesis of organogold compounds of the aryl, alkenyl, cymantrenyl, and heterocyclic series from organomercury compounds.

Either binuclear cationic complexes of gold with the general formula [R(AuPPh3)2]BF4 or monogold organic compounds with the general formula RAuPPh3 form, depending on the nature of the radial in the organomercury compound.

Previously unknown organogold compounds with the general formula RAuPPh3 have been obtained from the binuclear cationic complexes of gold under the action of triphenylphosphine.
