Summary
Procedures for the preparation of cryopreserved Syrian hamster embryo (SHE) cell pools and for the performance of the SHE clonal transformation assay are described. Attention to experimental details and the screening of cell pools and serum lots are important factors in obtaining consistent results with this clonal assay.
