Electrical conductivity of very anisotropic systems, coherence vs. diffusion

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento D

Summary

The electrical conductivity of pseudo-one-dimensional compounds is calculated by using two models and the resulting values are compared. It is shown that in both cases (coherent and diffusive) the ratio between the perpendicular and the parallel conductivity grows as the square of the anisotropy factor.
