Abstract
The title compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space groupP21/a,a=11.50(2),b=7.724(1),c=12.599(3) Å,β=102.22(5)°,Z=4. The structure was solved by direct methods and refined by full-matrix least squares toR=0.049 for 1032 observed reflections. The cobalt atom is π-bonded to the cyclopentadienyl ring, with a mean Co-C distance of 2.07(1) Å, and also π-bonded to the cyclonoatetraene ring at C(2)-C(3) and at C(6)-C(7), with a mean Co-C distance of 2.00(1) Å.
