Additional information

The two articles by Drs. Menninger and Ackerly are part of our observance of Mental Health Week, May 2–8, and Family Week, May 6–13. Dr. Menninger's article is from an address on the first nationwide observance of Mental Health Week, printed by permission of the National Association for Mental Health. It is an important reminder of what both the layman and the professional—particularly the minister—can do in the area of mental health.

The article by Dr. Ackerly was given at the Institute on Religion and Psychiatry in Family Living of the Louisville Council of Churches during last year's Mental Health and Family Week.

Esther Middlewood's article on Films should be seen in the same light—as an important instrument for the minister in family life and mental health education.-Ed.
