Summary
In a first paper the different steps which constitute the computer analysis of electrocardiograms were described. The present paper discusses several systems, which have been subject to extensive practical applications (Pipberger, Caceres, Smith, Bonner, Arvedson, Pryor, Siemens). The description of each system includes machine-configuration, outlines of the computer program, application preference and diagnostic results. However, special studies are necessary to evaluate differences between the diagnostic performance of the systems. Although further developments are still necessary one can already see, that automated analysis of electrocardiograms will prove a valuable tool to medical research and practice.
Zusammenfassung
Nachdem in einem ersten Teil der Arbeit der Ablauf von automatischen EKG-Auswertungen beschrieben wurde, sollen in dem vorliegenden Teil einige Systeme dargestellt werden, die für die methodische Entwicklung eine besondere Bedeutung erlangt haben und in größerem Umfang angewendet werden. Von sieben Arbeitsgruppen (Pipberger, Caceres, Smith, Bonner, Arvedson, Pryor und Siemens) werden die verwendeten Gerätekonfigurationen, Prinzip des Programmablaufs, Arbeitsschwerpunkte und Ergebnisse beschrieben, wobei die Ergebnisse aus verschiedenen Gründen nicht vergleichbar sind. Alle beschriebenen Systeme befinden sich zu einem gewissen Teil noch im Versuchsstadium. Der erreichte Entwicklungsstand läßt jedoch erkennen, daß die Computeranalyse von Elektrokardiogrammen für eine große Zahl von Fragestellungen bei Routine-untersuchungen und Forschungsvorhaben erfolgreich einsetzbar sein wird.
