Bestimmung von Alkali-tetraborat, -carbonat und -hydrogencarbonat nebeneinander durch acidimetrische und alkalimetrisehe Titration mit potentiometrischer Indikation

Summary

Alkali salt solutions of carbonate, hydrogencarbonate, and tetraborate may be analyzed for their anionic components in a 70% methanolic solution titrimetrically using potentiometric indication with a combined glass electrode. An acidimetric titration in the presence of mannitol and, subsequently, an alkalimetric titration are the only two procedures required. The accuracy of this method is about ± 0.5 % rel.

The reaction of tetraborate with mannitol, which is different in carbonate-alkaline and weakly acidic solutions, is described in detail.

Zusammenfassung

Alkalisalzlösungen von Carbonat, Hydrogencarbonat und Tetraborat können unter Verwendung potentiometrischer Indikation mittels einer kombinierten Glaselektrode titrimetrisch in einer 70%ig methanolischen Lösung mit einer Genauigkeit von etwa ± 0,5% auf ihre anionischen Bestandteile analysiert werden. Es braucht dazu lediglich in Gegenwart von Mannit eine acidimetrische und im Anschluß daran eine alkali metrische Titration vorgenommen zu werden.
