Summary

A secondary haemangiopericytoma of the cerebral hemisphere in a woman of 23 is described. It is formed of cells arranged in masses around proliferating blood capillaries, and also in rosette patterns. The tumour cells are separated from the capillary endothelial cells by thick collars of basement membrane in abnormal amounts. The histology of the primary tumour of the sacrum, and of the secondary tumours in the lungs and nervous system, are similar. A metastatic haemangiopericytoma of the central nervous system appears not to have been previously reported.
