Strahlentherapeutische Maßnahmen bei Leukämien

Leukämien sind klonale, neoplastische Proliferationen von Zellen der hämatopoetischen Differenzierungskaskade. Fast alle leukämischen Zellen sind ausgesprochen strahlenempfindlich. Bei diesen systemischen Neoplasien kann daher die Strahlentherapie in dreierlei Hinsicht zum integralen Bestandteil multimodaler Therapiekonzepte werden: im Rahmen der Primärtherapie, als myoablative Therapie zur Konditionierung z.B. vor Knochenmarktransplantationen oder zur Palliation bei Leukämie-assoziierten Problemen.
