Abstract

The pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of fractures of the ulna and olecranon are described. It appears that both the potential benefits of using internal fixation techniques in the proximal ulna and the olecranon and the risks involved are heavily influenced by concomitant injuries, which means that the diagnosis and appropriate treatment of these are of decisive importance for the outcome.
