Eine einfache orotracheale Intubationstechnik beim Versuchskaninchen

Summary

Compared with other laboratory animals the rabbit presents especial difficulties regarding anaesthesia. For anatomical reasons the blind intubation technique is in most cases impracticable and intubation under sight is possible only with the help of very special laryngoscopes. The authors describe a quick and simple method of intubation by which a catheter is inserted into the trachea in retrograde position and the tracheal tube is then introduced orotracheally.

Im Vergleich zu anderen Laboratoriumstieren ist die Narkose beim Kaninchen schwierig. Insbesondere ist aus anatomischen Gründen eine orotracheale Intubation weder blind noch unter Sicht praktisch möglich. Es wird eine Intubationstechnik beschrieben, mit der es möglich ist, rasch und sicher die orotracheale Intubation durchzuführen.
