Summary
The separation of95zirconium and95niobium by extraction with di-n-octylmethylene-bisphosphonic acid is described. The elements can be separated from each other from dilute solutions (< 10−4 M) and also from carrier-free solutions. The dependence of the distribution coefficients on the acid concentration and the concentration of the reagent was studied.
