Abstract

Cp 2TiCl2 reacts with 1,2-(LiO)2C6H4 producing the pyrocatecholato complex [Cp 2Ti(O2C6H4-o)] n . Osmometric molecular weight determination, temperature-variable1H NMR, and MS indicate an oligomeric polynuclear complex (2⩽n⩽4). Its MS fragmentation behaviour is observed by metastable transitions.
