Untersuchungen zur Sprachbehinderung durch herausnehmbare kieferorthopädische Geräte

Zusammenfassung

In einer experimentellen Untersuchung wurde nachgewiesen, daß kieferorthopädische Apparaturen je nach Art, Ausdehnung, Dicke und Konstruktion der Geräte die Sprache in unterschiedlichem Maße behindern. In einer klinischen Studie konnte darüber hinaus gezeigt werden, daß die Aussprache mit Gerät sich bereits in den ersten Tagen nach dem Einsetzen deutlich bessert. Das Sprechen ohne Gerät wird durch die kieferorthopädische Behandlung nicht verändert.

Summary

In an experimental investigation it was proved, that removable appliances can cause speech disorders according to the type, the extent, the thickness and the construction of the appliance. In addition it was shown in a clinical study, that the pronunciation with the appliance in the mouth improved within a few days after the appliance has been put in. The clearity of speech did not get worse when the patient did not wear the appliance.

Résumé

Notre étude expérimentale a fourni la preuve que les appareils amovibles d'orthodontie perturbent le langage de manière plus ou moins importante selon leur dimension, leur épaisseur et leur type de construction. Une recherche clinique a montré que la prononciation avec l'appareil en bouche s'améliore déjà après quelques jours. Sans appareil en bouche, l'élocution reste correcte pendant la durée du traitement orthodontique.
