Zusammenfassung

Nach einem Überblick über dieRutherfordsche Theorie der Ablenkung von α-Teilchen im elektrostatischen Feld des Atomkernes wird auf kürzliche Streuexperimente hingewiesen. Die Streuung von α-Teilchen an schweren Kernen ist einem optischen Beugungsphänomen ähnlich. Resonanzen wie sie in der Streuung an leichten Kernen beobachtet werden, sind akustischen Resonanzen vergleichbar.
