Binding of levonorgestrel to monkey plasma proteins

Summary

3H-levonorgestrel, a protein progestational steroid, showed a high affinity saturable binding to monkey plasma. Competitive protein binding experiments suggested that the levonorgestrel binds to a protein which resembles sex hormone-binding globulin.
