A biologically active diphenyl ether from the green alga Cladophora fascicularis

Summary

A new polybrominated diphenyl ether (1) has been isolated from the green algaCladaphora fascicularis, and the structure was determined by spectral analysis and conversion to known compounds. It showed antibacterial and antiinflammatory activities.
