Summary

Three dimensional magneto-elastic equations pertaining to the problem of propagation of axial Rayleigh waves on the surface of elastic cylinder of isotropic material have been solved. Two cases have been considered — first, when the density varies linearly and second, when it varies inversely as the radius vector and frequency equations for both the cases have been obtained.
