Conclusions
-
1.
There has been obtained a new high-activity aluminosilicate adsorbent-catalyst, Brand AD, by treatment of wet pellets of industrial aluminosilicate catalyst with hydrocarbon substituents.
-
2.
Brand AD aluminosilicate adsorbent can be used as an adsorbent in place of the gumbrin employed at the present time in the purification of auto, tractor, and diesel oils, as a result of several of its advantages:
-
a)
the consumption of AD adsorbent is almost 3 times less than with gumbrin, while the color index is higher than for gumbrin
-
b)
the filtration rate of oils with AD adsorbent is, on the average, 1.45 times greater than with gumbrin;
-
c)
Brand AD adsorbent-catalyst can be used as a catalyst for the cracking of kerosene-gasoil fractions.
