Abstract
Using ππ scattering data, the integrated cross-section for p¯p→π+π−, and unitarity, we derive upper bounds to the differential cross-section for p¯p→π+ π−. Comparison with experimental data shows that in general the bounds are several times larger than the measured value, but that at certain points this factor is only about two or three.
