Conclusions
The density of a powder poured with a spreader approaches its tap density. For the majority of powders the densities in the deformed condition differ but little from the volumetric densities. The densification of a powder in the section Hp apparently begins from its volumetric density. The law of constancy of mass in powder rolling may be written in differential form. The change in porosity experienced by a powder during deformation in an open volume may be employed as a quantitative indicator in the prediction of the properties of rolled powder strip.
