Luminol oxidation associated with chemiluminescence

Communication 7. Chemiluminescence in the oxidation of luminol by xenon difluoride in the presence of hydrogen peroxide

Conclusions

Chemiluminescence activation in the oxidation of luminol by xenon difluoride in the presence of hydrogen peroxide occurs through reaction of the luminol with an intermediate resulting from the oxidation of the hydrogen peroxide, the processes in question here being similar to those met in the reactions of luminol with sodium hypochlorite and tetranitromethane in the presence of H2O2.
