Summary
The hydrogenation rate of quinones in the presence of platinum, palladium or rhodium catalysts is linearly dependent on the oxidation-reduction potential of the quinones, and is a particular case of the dependence of the hydrogenation rate of organic compounds on their conjugation energy.
