Summary
-
1.
A reaction was found for the catalytic oxidation of some organic, heteroorganic and inorganic hydrides by molecular oxygen. The catalysts are flavins and compounds related to them.
-
2.
The stable raidcal tetramethylpiperidone oxide can serve as the hydrogen acceptor in this catalytic reaction.
