1.
The thermal destruction of polyketosulfides based on 4,4′-dimercaptodiphenyl and 4,4′-dibromodi-acetyldiphenyl oxide was studied. Covering the active terminal groups of the polymer or producing a high-molecular weight polymer increases the thermal stability of the polyketosulfides.

2.
The thermal destruction of model diketosulfides, 4,4′-dithiophenacyldiphenyl and 4,4′bis-(thiophenyl) diacetyldiphenyl oxide, was investigated under dynamic and isothermal conditions, and it was shown that their decomposition proceeds with cleavage of the S-CH2 bond.
