Conclusions
-
1.
A new variation was developed for the synthesis of doisynolic acid derivatives without the B ring by the diene condensation of 1,4-dimethyl-2-p-anisyl-1,3-butadiene with trans-crotonic acid.
-
2.
The structure of the formed adducts was established by spectral methods, and by their conversion to diphenyl derivatives, obtained by counter synthesis.
