Conclusions

  1. 1.

The adsorption of CO leads to a specific interaction of CO molecules with transition metal cations in zeolites and gives adsorption bands in the IR spectra at∼2200 cm−1, the frequency of which is higher than the vibration frequency of CO in the gas phase.

  2. 2.

The interaction of CO with O2 on the surface of zeolites containing transition metal cations at increased temperatures leads to the formation of physically adsorbed CO2, as well as surface carbonates, which are products of the interaction of CO and O2 with the participation of transition metal cations.
