Abstract

After several decades of conflicting priorities, the Universidade do Amazonas has decided to start an Agroforestry Degree Program at the Masters level to promote research and train the professionals that are required by the region's public and private industries. The program will be run in collaboration with several other organizations and agencies of the region. Students will be able to select from a large number of courses, and they will need to focus on a research problem that is relevant to the region.
