A digital filter for optimal enhancement of Fabry-Pérot interferograms

Abstract

We describe the concept and the performance of a high-pass digital filter to enhance the faint Fabry-Pérot interferograms. The filter was used to analyse the comet Halley-Hα interferogram. The results are briefly discussed.
