Abstract
We present new high spectral resolution X-ray observations of the colliding wind binaryγ Vel taken with the ASCA satellite. We find two spectral components, one of which is post-shock emission from the colliding winds. Spectral variability is also seen, consistent with current notions of colliding wind phenomena.
