Abstract
A stochastic model is described which simulates the hyperfine interaction in highly stripped light ions. The coupling of the electrons to the nucleus is of the fluctuating type during the deexcitation process of the electron shell and of the static type for electrons in the ground state. In the limit of very fast deexcitation the time-differential attenuation coefficients of the perturbed angular correlation are essentially those of the static ground-state coupling with a phase shift and a reduction of the amplitude imposed.
