The magnetic field of Langmuir oscillations

Abstract

The small-scale quasistationary magnetic field appearing in a plasma exhibiting plasma oscillations is considered. It is shown that this magnetic field is capable of leading to dissipation of the electromagnetic waves propagating in the plasma.
